Allen Emergency got the call at 5:26 p.m. and was on location to help secure the site with a storefront emergency car crash board up in less than an hour.
Two people were injured in the 2:50 p.m. accident, said Sgt. Burton Brink of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Crescenta Valley Station. A car cut off a pickup driving westbound on Foothill Boulevard, causing the truck to hit the curb, a tree in the center divider, and eventually cross into eastbound lanes and slam into the nail salon, Brink said. CV's Dep. Michelle Magana witnessed the wreck, but she had not yet filed her report, Brink said, noting he did not know the extent of the injuries. Brink did say that the injuries were not from within the nail salon.
